How do I reserve my spot on a Glidepath Travel journey?
Reserving your spot is simple. After selecting your desired journey, complete the online application form and submit a nonrefundable deposit of $1,000 per person. This deposit secures your place on the trip and is applied toward your total journey cost.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers. All payments are processed securely through our booking system.
What is your payment schedule?
$1,000 non-refundable deposit per person due at booking
50% of remaining balance due 120 days before departure
Final balance due 60 days before departure
Travel Insurance
Is travel insurance required?
Yes, comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all GlidePath Travel journeys. Your policy must include coverage for trip cancellation, emergency medical expenses, evacuation, and trip interruption.
Why do you require travel insurance?
We require insurance for your protection. Our journeys take place in various locations worldwide, and comprehensive coverage ensures you're protected against unexpected events such as illness, travel disruptions, or personal emergencies.
Do you sell travel insurance?
While we don't sell insurance directly, we can recommend reputable providers who offer comprehensive policies suitable for our journeys. We recommend purchasing insurance within 14 days of making your initial deposit to ensure maximum coverage benefits.
Cancellation Policy
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
Cancellations 120+ days before departure: Full refund minus the non-refundable deposit
Cancellations 119-60 days before departure: 50% of total trip cost
Cancellations 59 days or less before departure: No refund. In extraordinary circumstances, GlidePath Travel may, at its sole discretion, consider partial credits toward future travel. This is why comprehensive travel insurance with trip cancellation coverage is mandatory for all travelers.
What happens if GlidePath Travel cancels a journey?
In the rare event that we need to cancel a journey, you will receive a full refund of all payments made to GlidePath Travel, including your deposit. Alternatively, you may choose to transfer your payment to another available journey.
Are there any exceptions to your cancellation policy?
We understand that unexpected circumstances arise. While our standard policy applies in most situations, we review exceptional cases on an individual basis. This is another reason why comprehensive travel insurance is essential.
Is there a minimum number of travelers required for each journey?
For our inaugural year, we'll run all scheduled journeys with 4 or more travelers. After that, our journeys will require a minimum of 6 travelers. This ensures both the economic viability of the trip and the ideal group dynamic we strive to create. In the rare case that a journey doesn't reach minimum enrollment, we'll notify you at least 90 days before departure and offer either a full refund or the option to transfer to another departure.
Trip Preparation
When will I receive detailed information about my journey?
Approximately 3-4 weeks before departure, you'll receive a comprehensive trip packet including a detailed daily itinerary, accommodation information, packing suggestions, weather forecasts, and other essential details. Additionally, I offer a pre-departure Zoom session for anyone who would like to join! It’s not mandatory, but it’s a great chance for us to meet and for you to ask any final questions before the trip.
What should I pack for my journey?
Packing recommendations vary by destination and season. Your pre-departure materials will include a detailed packing list specific to your journey. Generally, we recommend versatile, comfortable clothing suitable for various activities and weather conditions.
Do I need any vaccinations or special medications?
Health requirements vary by destination. We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider or a travel medicine specialist at least 8 weeks before departure to discuss any necessary vaccinations or medications.
During Your Journey
What is the typical group size?
Our journeys are designed for small groups to ensure personalized attention and authentic experiences. For our inaugural journeys, we're limiting groups to just 8 travelers while we perfect the experience. In the future, most trips will expand to a maximum of 12 travelers, but we'll always maintain the intimate atmosphere that allows access to unique venues and activities not available to larger groups.
How do I know if a trip is right for my interests/activity level?
Each journey/itinerary page includes detailed information about the experiences included and the activity level required. Most of our trips involve moderate activity—walking tours, some stairs, and occasional uneven terrain. We're always happy to discuss specific journeys to help you find the perfect match for your interests and physical comfort level. Our small group size allows us to accommodate different paces and occasionally offer alternative options.
Can I extend my trip before or after the scheduled dates?
Yes! We're happy to provide suggestions to extend your trip before or after your GlidePath journey. Please let us know your interests when booking, and we'll assist with these arrangements while keeping your travel experience seamless.
What type of accommodations can I expect?
We select 4-star boutique hotels and distinctive properties that combine comfort with local character. All accommodations feature private en-suite bathrooms, quality amenities, excellent locations, and attentive service. We prioritize properties that offer authentic charm, personal touches, and proximity to key attractions rather than generic luxury chain hotels.
Are meals included?
Most journeys include daily breakfast, several lunches, and select dinners as indicated in the detailed itinerary. This approach gives you the freedom to explore local dining options on your own while ensuring you experience carefully selected regional cuisine during included meals.
Are alcoholic beverages included with meals?
Most meals do not include alcoholic beverages unless specifically noted in the itinerary. Special experiences such as welcome receptions and farewell dinners may include selected beverages as part of the experience. This approach allows you the flexibility to choose your preferred drinks while keeping our trip pricing accessible. Your GlidePath host can always recommend excellent local wine and beverage options at each destination.
What about dietary restrictions or food allergies?
We can accommodate most dietary restrictions and food allergies with advance notice. Please indicate any special dietary needs when booking your journey so we can make appropriate arrangements.
Is Wi-Fi available during the journey?
All of our accommodations provide Wi-Fi access, and many public spaces (cafes, restaurants, etc.) in our destinations also offer connectivity. For staying in touch with family and friends, we recommend WhatsApp for calls, messaging, and photo sharing. Most cell phone carriers offer international travel plans for a daily flat fee, which you may want to arrange before departure. During the journey, I'm always available to help with any communication needs or technical issues.
How do you address safety concerns for women travelers?
Safety is a cornerstone of every GlidePath journey. Our small group format provides built-in companionship and security, while our carefully selected accommodations prioritize secure locations and facilities. As your dedicated host, I remain accessible 24/7 during our journeys, prepared to address any situation that may arise. We also provide comprehensive pre-departure information, including destination-specific safety tips and protocols, ensuring you feel confident and secure throughout your experience.
What support will I have during the journey?
As your dedicated travel host, I'll be with you throughout the entire journey to ensure everything runs smoothly. I'm available to assist with any questions, special requests, or unexpected situations that may arise. From helping with restaurant recommendations to addressing any concerns, I'm fully committed to making your travel experience effortless and joyful.

Do you offer custom or private journeys?
At this time, we do not. But possibly in the future! Let us know if there is something you are looking for and we may add it to our growing list of trips.
Is airfare included in your journey prices?
Airfare is not included in our journey prices. This gives you the flexibility to use frequent flyer miles, arrive early, extend your stay, or choose your preferred airline, routing and seats.
What is The Joy Fund?

How can I apply for The Joy Fund?
Applications for The Joy Fund are accepted through our website. Recipients are chosen based on their personal story, demonstrated need, and the potential impact of the travel experience on their lives.
